Red Flag Horseless Carriage Tour

We hope to see you in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, in September.
In 2024 we will visit Muscatine and The Pearl Button Museum on Thursday and learn about the "Iowa gold rush" created by the pearl button industry. On Friday we will see the Riverfront Pavilion adn Memoiral Suditorum in Burlington and learn Burlington's extensive contribution to the transportation industry.
Saturday is our annual New London to Brighton reenactment. |

MT. PLEASANT — In 2024, the Red Flag Horseless Carriage Motor Tour returns to southeast Iowa with its annual event Wednesday, September 25st thru Saturday, September 28th. Brass Era vehicles made before 1928 and their drivers will experience the beauty and hospitality over the three days of touring that are unique to this part of the state.
Participants will gather for introductions and a drivers meeting on Wednesday evening, then the official tour starts Thursday. Tour routes vary each year, and traditionally run between 75 and 100 miles per day.
The mission of the Red Flag Horseless Carriage Tour is to foster an understanding and appreciation of vintage vehicle touring while enhancing the economic and cultural vitality of the southeast Iowa region. The purpose is to celebrate and support the appreciation of heritage and vintage vehicles, support the communities on the selected routes, and provide the participants and spectators with a quality experience that encourages return visits to Iowa.
